Hougton Lake

Wow - this is already K & K's third year at Hougton Lake for our family vacation. With the many traditions (HLV - Houghton Lake Volleyball, HL golf outing, the Zeulers pow-wow, fishing tourney, getting bait, etc.) it is one of my favorite times of year. The weather was a little on the chilly side, but the fishing and company was great. This year we were able to have our cousin Jenny join us to help watch the kids, which was a huge help! Cant wait for next year already!

Well, lets just say, the pow wow was not too exciting to the twins. It all started fine, but once the indian with the big moppy head of hair started doing his dance, Kendall was not too pleased and it didnt take long for Kaleb to follow his sisters lead. We still had a good time considering!

We had some fun times at a local park in Crystal. I thought these pictures were pretty good... so here you go.

New Swing Set!

The twins were so excited about their new swing set! It was pretty funny - we let them play on it after we set it up for a little while and then put them to bed. After we put them to bed, we didnt hear much from them. As we always do, we went to check on them before we went to bed and Kaleb was still up just smiling and looking at the ceiling. He then. with a great big grin, says, "new swing set tomorrow?!?" Apparently, he was pretty excited to play again on his swing set!

Backers travel to the UP

Our good friends, the Backers, made a trip to the UP to attend a wedding close to Crystal. The greatness of their trip was us being able to meet Evie! Additionally, we took some time out to see the scenary around Crystal - horse race rapids, lake mary, etc. We are glad they were able to make the trip and spend some time with us!

Landscaping with the twins

In early May we started some landscaping projects around the home. It started out as some simple flower beds around the front of the house but turned into a little something more... as you can see in the picture. K & K really enjoyed watching Dennis escavate our backyard. They also helped spread the mulch!
