Merry Christmas!

Santa came a few days early at our house. Kaleb got a basketball hoop (which he has gotten very good at the SLAM DUNK) and Kendall got a high chair for her babies. She loves to take care of her baby dolls!

Christmas with the Surface's

We traveled to Detroit for Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, so we celebrated with the Surface side the Sunday before. Here are the kids putting on a concert with their new instruments.

Of course, the box is always the biggest attraction!

They got a play kitchen, and have been busy cooking and feeding us since. They will walk around with bowls and spoons feeding us "oatmeal" and "soup".

We had a nice winter afternoon - took the kids sledding, built a campfire and put some tipups in the river to ice fish.

Putting up the Christmas Tree

We had our first "real" Christmas tree this year! All previous years in Indy, we put up a fake tree because we traveled for two weeks to see both sides of the family. It was nice to have a real tree and the kids had fun helping us decorate. The next morning they tried to play with the ornaments a little bit, but I was amazed that they left the ornaments alone after that. I was expecting to have to gate off the tree, but they were really cute about pointing to the ones that they like, but not trying to take them off too much.

Silly Kendall

Kendall has been quite a spit-fire lately! She is talking up a storm, and smiling her scrunched up face smile. She is adorable and a really nice little girl!

Roadtrips, snowman and rocking

We have taken a couple of long road trips in the past 6 weeks or so. We went to Minneapolis, MN to visit our friends Ryan and Lindsay, then took two trips to Detroit to spend time with Jamie's family. I will post some more pics from our trips, but these first two are the kids chillin' in their car seats. They are very good travelers!
