Happy Halloween

The kids had a lot of fun this Halloween. We went to the medicare during the day, then trick-or-treating around my parent's neighborhood in the evening. The weather was so nice! I remember some years as a kid running around from house to house in the snow and freezing weather. We really lucked out! The kids liked their candy that night, but didn't ask for it the next day, so Jamie and I of course had to finish most of it so they wouldn't be tempted :-)

Halloween

We got to see their friends Skylar and Jonnie while we were trick-or-treating!

My brother, sister and I took the kids to the Medicare to see our great-aunt Margaret. Here is Kendall walking in with Dan

Here is a snap of our carved pumpkins!

Carving Pumpkins

I was surprised at how involved the kids were in carving our pumpkins this year (well they helped in scooping out the "guts" at least).

Playing in the leaves this fall

We had a lot of fun this fall playing in the leaves!

We always go out to the cottage in the fall to rake leaves. This year the weather was nice!

School Playground

We spent quite a few days this fall on the playground up at the school. They became more and more brave each time (which scared this mom), but as long as I had someone else with us, we were able to let them be adventurous, but could be close by to make sure they didn't fall off of anything high, or fly off the end of the slide. Many fun times!

Fall fun

Here they are on the steps at the cottage. Not quite the same effect as sitting on the steps in their bathing suits with the sun shining, but still adorable!

Sarah and Tyler's wedding

My sister Sarah married Tyler on September 27th in Copper Harbor (the northern most point of the Upper Peninsula). I was the matron of honor, Kendall the flower girl and Kaleb the ring bearer. Everything about the day was perfect! The weather cooperated and they got some gorgous outdoor pictures with the leaves changing colors and also along the shoreline of Lake Superior.

Here they are at the beginning of the aisle during the rehersal.

The big day - they made it down the first 4 rows holding hands, then Kendall broke away and started running down the aisle with a big smile on her face. Kaleb looked around, grabbed onto an older mans hand like he was shaking it, and then walked down the aisle like a politician looking at everyone with a big smile. It was so cute! Once the ceremony started, Jamie took them outside because they don't like to sit still for very long and the church was pretty small, so we didn't want them to interrupt Sarah and Tyler's special moment!

Color Tour in Copper Harbor

After my sister's wedding, we drove up to the top of Brockway Mountain in Copper Harbor to look at the leaves changing color. It was beautiful!

They had their gift opening at the William's cabin on Lake Superior. The view is amazing!

Kaleb loves trucks, tractors, semis

Our friends were doing some landscaping at their house and let Kaleb sit in the equipment. He was so happy pretending to drive!

There is a gravel pit near our house and Kaleb would make us sit up there in the wagon until one either came in our went out. He would get so excited when they would honk at us!

Horse riding and 4-wheeling

They had fun at their friend Elsie's birthday party!

Here are the kids 4-wheeling on one of the last nice days before the cold weather hit!

Shhh! Don't tell daddy

My good friend Carrie has a son Drew that came to visit us at the cottage this summer. In the middle of eating their ice cream cones, they had their first kiss! Shhhh...don't tell daddy!

Here are a few random pictures of the twins that I couldn't resist posting.

All tired out from the fun day at the cottage, drinking their bottles and getting into their pajamas.

What's for breakfast? Check out where their fingers have been! Ha!
