Houghton Lake with Jamie's family

Every year for almost 40 years, Jamie's family has been coming to Houghton Lake to spend a week together. This year we had a big group (over 30 people), and it was so much fun spending the week with everyone! Enjoy all of the pictures below!

They were so tired at the end of each day. Here they are drinking their bottles (they are down to just 1 bottle per day right before they go to bed).

Fun memories at Houghton Lake

The cabins we stayed at didn't have a bath tub, so the kids got their baths in the kitchen sink! They had fun with aunt Flo when she gave them their bath!

Sporting Activities in Houghton Lake

We had a week full of activities while we stayed in Houghton Lake. A huge group of us went golfing one afternoon. There was a lot of fishing (with a big fish fry on Thursday night). We also had a Houghton Lake Volleyball tournament! That was a blast. I was on a team that won our way into the Championship game, then had to switch to the "Dirty 30" team which was made up of those of us 30 and over. Needless to say...the "Dirty 30" team won the championship!!!! The last few points were in the pouring rain (very dramatic) - it was very fun!

Jet Skis and Basketball

The kids had their first jet ski ride with daddy. Kaleb loved it so much we had a hard time getting him to come off!

The kids thought they were pretty awesome being able to slam dunk the basketball!

Fun with uncle TC and Grandma and Papa

We got to spend some really fun times with Uncle TC and Grandma and Papa!

They bought the kids fishing poles and golf clubs! They love them!

Alicia came with us

My cousin Alicia came with us to Houghton Lake to help with the kids. She was awesome! It was so nice of her to help out. It allowed both Jamie and I to go golfing and Jamie to get some fishing in with his brother and uncles. Thanks Alicia!

Houghton Lake Pow-wow

Every year it is tradition to go to the "pow-wow" at Houghton Lake. Last year the twins were so small, but this year they really enjoyed it!

There was an audience participation dance that Phil and Sam took the twins out for and Dennis took Mackenzie.

After the pow-wow there is an area for the kids to play around in.

Fungus Fest Parade

In mid-August, we have a celebration called Fungus Fest in Crystal Falls (see http://www.crystalfalls.org/humongou.htm for more details). Here are a couple of pictures of the kids at the parade. Kaleb was dancing all over the street and it was hilarious! He was doing a "booty dance".

Kaleb is giving Kendall a kiss in the picture below. They love to give kisses! It is so cute that they actually make the kissing sound!

We had a playdate at the cottage with a bunch of our friends! The kids had so much fun in the water!

Here are some relatives that came into town to stay at the cottage next to ours. They were really great with the kids!

They love to watch the ducks. They both say "duck, duck, duck" in a really high pitch. Kendall enjoys swimming more than Kaleb. Kaleb really likes to walk on the dock and look for fish.
