Breakfast at the cottage

My family has a cottage on Lake Mary (about 7 miles outside of Crystal Falls). Some of my best childhood memories are from the cottage, and we are excited that K & K will have some great memories there too! I'll be posting some swimming picture soon, but these are from a breakfast that we ate on the deck. We have spent quite a few nights out there already.

Kendall is definitely a meat eater....she is loving the turkey bacon!

Kaleb is definitely a fruit eater....he would eat the whole carton of blueberries if we would let him!

There is a first time for everything...

The following events may seem like no big deal to some, but they sure seem like big "firsts" to me! The top picture is Kendall on her first shopping trip to Green Bay with me, my mom and sister. She spent her first night in a hotel and was great at the mall! The bottom picture is Kaleb's first wood tick! It was behind his ear and although it was stuck, it came out very easily.

Looking out the window

The kids are not quite tall enough to see out the window, but they love to watch the cars go by and the people walking, riding bikes. My arms were getting tired from trying to hold them both up, so Jamie put a little stool there so that they could look out the window. We later replaced the stool with something a little bit longer so they both could stand on it. If we knew someone was coming over, I would stand them in the window and they would get so excited when the company pulled up!

Outdoor fun

Kendall and Kaleb got this slide for their birthday and they have spent many hours playing with it. They have figured out how to lean forward enough to start sliding by themselves, climb back up the slide and are just starting to pull themselves up onto the platform behind the slide by throwing a leg up and pulling with their arms!

Lounging in style

When we moved, I put their bouncy seats away and just recently unpacked them so that they can hold their own bottles in the morning. Well, it turns out that they are enjoying their seats more as toddlers than they ever did as little babies. They will walk over to them throughout the day and just plop down and take a breather....literally they only sit still for about 15 seconds and then they are back up and running around, but it is so cute to see when they do slow down!

We love our baby sitters!

One of the great things about living back in Crystal Falls is that we can find the best baby sitters for K & K when Jamie and I want to go out and have some fun for ourselves. Alicia and Kaylee are cousins of mine that are so good with the kids! As you can see in the pictures, the kids love them!

Kendall's first hair cut

Kendall got her first hair cut on May 21st by my friend Jen. She just needed a little bit trimmed from her bangs and on the sides. Her hair is coming in a little bit slower and thinner than Kalebs. He has had two haircuts and needs another one right now. Jamie wants to give him a buzz cut, but I'm not so sure!
