Drew Bradley comes for a visit

My sister Sarah, my girlfriend Carrie and her 10 month old son Drew came to visit over the weekend of June 22/23rd. They came down in Carrie's car, then the twins and I followed them back to Crystal Falls in our vehicle. Sarah split her time between the 2 cars helping out with the kids and sharing driving duties. They all did very well on the drive (12 hours, 500 miles)! It meant a lot that they came all the way down here to "pick us up". We spent the whole week at the cottage with my family. Jamie then flew up to the U.P. on Friday of that week and we all drove back as a family.

Cancer Survivor Walk

We participated in a Cancer Survivor Walk in early June, taking a 1 mile walk downtown Indianapolis with the Backer's, Brady's and Irvin's (plus all of the dogs). Check out Spree in the yellow trailor/stroller in the middle! Tarra got more attention for pushing the dog than we did for having the twins out!

Swimming for the first time!

Kendall and Kaleb really enjoyed their first swim with Dad! They both fussed for about 30 seconds, but soon realized that it was very fun to be cooled off in this warm weather.

2 month check up

Last Friday we went to the doctor's for their 2 month check up (they were actually 10 weeks at the time of the appt.). They received their first set of shots and did really well with them. Doctor is very pleased with their progress. We continue to count our blessings and feel very lucky to have such great babies!!!!

Weight/height check:
Kendall: 9 lbs, 5 oz - 20.5 inches
Kaleb: 9 lbs, 6 oz - 21 inches

We love to sleep on daddy!

Update on Kendall

Kendall has turned into a very happy smiley baby! She gives daddy the biggest smiles and it melts his heart! We did an at-home sleep study about 2 weeks ago and the results came back still showing that she has minor desaturation episodes. So, we were referred up to Riley's Children Hospital Pulmonary specialists to further test/evaluate her condition. The doctor that we saw there on Wed 6/19 said that Kendall's desaturations are very minor and that she is comfortable with us taking Kendall off of her oxygen and apnea monitor during the day when she is awake and we are with her and able to observe her. We need to continue to use oxygen and the monitor when she naps and during the nighttime. I had to bring her back to the hospital today so that they could perform a sleep study in their sleep lab. She did a 3 hour "nap study" and actually slept the entire time! This sleep study will help them better determine why she continues to have desaturation episodes (reflux, "floppy airway", etc). We should get the results in 5 - 10 days. We'll keep you posted!

Kendall and Kaleb's First "Day" Camping Trip

Kendall and Kaleb really enjoyed the beautiful day at Shades campground on Saturday with the Brady's and Backer's! We hiked over a mile in one of the prettiest areas of Indiana.

Proud parents in the wilderness...

The Brady's, especially Norah, enjoyed the Hike!

Jill and I took Lindsay on one of her first camping trips and now she is a pro. Griff and Timber enjoyed the hike as well!

Hanging around the campfire... you can not see, but Kendall and Kaleb are always dressed for the occasion. They have on matching "Little Camper" outfits that were given as a gift from their Auntie Sarah.

Reece made sure that the little ones were doing OK on the way home from our trip!

Reece

Reece wants Telly and Gwenny (and all other concerned dogs) to know that she is having fun being the big sister. She gets concerned and curious when she hears the babies crying, but comes up to them and kisses their feet to let them know she loves them! Now that the pool is open, she spends a lot of time jumping in after her ball.
